Summer Recreation

There is something for everyone in the summer in Lake Placid - outdoor adventures, culture and relaxation. The village stages a variety of cultural activities including the summer symphony, film forum and arts and crafts festival.

Athletes train at the Olympic venues (you can watch them!), and visitors can see the Olympic sites where sports history was made.

Although mountain weather varies, the months of June, July and August feature an average high of 74 degrees Fahrenheit.
